so when robot gets a long session I make two distinct episodes but now I'm two for two in making two parters in rain world instead, why is that? it's a good question and I've asked myself why it felt best to do i this way, and I think I understand. with robot, progress is very clear and constant. I could cut any robot session in ten minute chunks and there would always be at least one solid indicator of progress. but 'capital P' progress in rain world is more subtle ambivalent. Like, there's frequently interesting things happen, unexpected animals in odd places and whatnot, like the day-to-day moments I find are very interesting, but it's also harder to say if something was 'done'. ESPECIALLY when I'm revisiting old areas like I've been doing lately.
