I feel like the video itself goes into everything but the tl;dr: 'Sonic' as an institution is so large that only looking at 'sonic' games feels like it's not quite enough, and so exploring concurrent games aiming for the same market on different consoles feels necessary to get a clear picture of the overall greater sonic phenomena the goal of this video is to ask a question re: the catch-up this would require.
