The syndrome refers to Vip1 and Boon's Mechanical Castle. You got some levels in Vip1 which are trash. Just... genuine trash. And then, near the end of the game, you get the Mechanical Castle, that has the equivalent of something like nine levels in it, all of pretty high quality for the game. I'm getting that same vibe!
