man. okay, so. During editing, I noticed a very very important clue that I missed while playing. During gameplay, I missed it because I was looking in the exact opposite corner of the screen, because danger was there. This is somethign I just kinda tried out of desperation because it's not somethign you do anywhere else in the game and didn't really expect it to lead anywhere. I'm not blaming the game, the visual information IS there after all, and I don't want the game to just dripfeed me solutions. But at the same time I feel like I wasn't necessarily at fault, since again the screen can get pretty busy. So in the end...
